The Garden Office at Brick Kiln Camping, near Wickham Market is nearing completion.
Brick Kiln Camping is situated on the outskirts of the village of Campsea Ashe in unspoilt, quiet Suffolk countryside, surrounded by fields.
This is a peaceful campsite where campers can wake to the sound of birdsong. The site is ideally situated for visitors to explore the surrounding countryside and enjoy the open skies. Just 10 miles to the nearest beach and a very short drive to woodlands Brick Kiln Camping offers easy access to the best of the Suffolk Coast.
Just down the road is the small town of Woodbridge, regularly voted as one of the best places to live in England.
With such a beautiful location the owners wanted to refresh their reception facilities and create a new office that could be used all year round. In addition to the campsite the owner, Tina Hayward is also a civil celebrant and will use the new insulated office to run her business, "Tina Hayward, Civil Celebrant" when asked about this Tina said:
"Whether it is a funeral, wedding/civil partnership or vow renewal I will create, personalise and deliver a meaningful ceremonial service for you. Like the seasons of the year, life is a journey of joy and sorrow, life and death, union and separation; ‘The Circle of Life.’ "
Tina needed the extra space and welcomed the opportunity to take the workplace out of her home. Having a fully insulated garden office met two needs, a new office and a reception area for the campsite.
The new garden building needed to have the right appearance and be low maintenance. Tina opted for a black Hardieplank exterior, the windows and doors were coloured for her with a black exterior to match the "barn" appearance of the Garden Office. The roof was completed with a Firestone rubber roofing system to give long life protection in all weathers.
The interior of the windows and doors was white to give a lighter look from inside. Fully insulated and with a plaster finish on the interior, it was finished with a wood laminate floor which is ideal for easy cleaning when the campers come back from exploring the rural landscape.
